The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is Australia’s primary national sports administration and advisory agency. On behalf of the Australian Government, the ASC plays a leadership role in the development and operation of the Australian sports system and in Australia’s international activities using sport as a tool for community development.

Canadian Heritage (PCH) is a department of the Government of Canada responsible for culture and sport. Among its activities, PCH works through a collaborative approach with its governmental and non-governmental partners to promote the use of sport as a tool for social development internationally. International support is targeted toward policy and program initiatives that provide access to the social benefits of sport.

ISCA is an organisation bringing together sport, culture and youth organisations from across the globe. ISCA was created in 1995 with the purpose of supporting cross-border understanding through sport and culture; promoting sport as a bearer of cultural identity; and encouraging the broadest possible participation in sports and cultural activities for affiliated members.

The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is a charity that was founded in 2005 to address a broad range of social problems through supporting a worldwide programme of sports related community development initiatives, using sport as a tool for social change. The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation supports over 60 projects worldwide and improves the lives of over 150,000 children through its global foundation and a growing network of 8 subsidiary foundations in Argentina, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.

NCDO strengthens and highlights public support for international cooperation and sustainable development and achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. NCDO’s sports program is the Dutch knowledge and information centre on the power of sport to help reach these goals and social change (www.sportdevelopment.org).

NIF is the largest voluntary organisation in Norway. NIF is the umbrella organisation which organises all national sports associations in the country. NIF endeavours to provide everyone with the opportunity to participate in sport without any form for discrimination. In its development cooperation NIF supports projects on sport development and sport for development and peace.

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is Switzerland’s international cooperation agency within the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). The Agency undertakes direct actions, supports programmes of multilateral organizations, and helps to finance programmes run by Swiss and international aid organizations.

UEFA is the governing body of European football with the core mission of promoting, protecting and developing football at all levels of the game. UEFA believes that football should be used as a positive tool to benefit society and can be a powerful force in changing attitudes and behaviour on and off the pitch.

UK Sport (based in London) works in partnership with the home country sports councils and other agencies to lead sport in the UK to world-class success and is accountable to Parliament through the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. UK Sport has been involved in International Sport Development for the last seventeen working mainly within Southern Africa. At the heart of this development work has been the belief that the UK can play a role in increasing opportunities for young people in developing countries to participate in sport.
