Who should contribute?
We encourage Individuals and Organisations using sport occasionally to reach development objectives or further humanitarian causes to register their activities on the Platform.
Sports organisations whose ‘core business’ is not considered to be human or social development and/or humanitarian work, are encouraged to register their information on the Platform in instances where their activities are aimed towards furthering humanitarian causes and promoting human and social development.

You can react to the News, Events and Publications on the Platform by posting comments – get a discussion going! Send the link to your friends and colleagues and ask them for their input. You don’t need to be logged in to post comments.
Sign up as a Team Player
There are a number of benefits to becoming a Team Player.
You can create a Team Player profile for yourself, highlighting your interests and areas of expertise in Sport & Development. You’ll then be able to create an Organisation profile for your Organisation, highlighting its activities in Sport & Development. You can also create a Project profile for each of the Projects that you or your Organisation is running.
As a Team Player, you can make use of all the Platform features. For example, you will be able to:
- add news, updates, commentary, job opportunities and other articles to the News & Views section
- add an event to the online calendar
- upload publications and documents to your Team Player or Organisation profile pages
Best of all, signing up is completely free.

Contact others
As a Team Player, you’ll be able to contact other Team Players through the contact form that is available only for Team Players.
Post a News article
Team Players can add news articles to the Platform. If you have an opinion, piece of news, a quick update, or a link you’d like to share, post this in an article on the Platform. Article pages work like blogs – users can add comments and reactions to posted articles so you can get a discussion going.
Tell others about an Event you are attending or organising
Log into your Team Player account and post an event in the Events calendar.

Share your documents and publications online
If you or your Organisation has produced a document, report, evaluation, manual, research or any other document related to Sport & Development, please share this on the Platform.
You can simply upload these documents to your Team Player and/or Organisation profile.
An even more useful way of drawing traffic to your publication is to add it to the online library. There it will be catalogued and easily found through the advanced search engine we are developing.
