Kathy Mikic

I am a Physical Education teacher with 10 years of experience teaching overseas and in Montreal. Presently working on a Doctoral Degree that focuses on SDP in post-conflict areas.

Developed partnerships with NGOS in schools and had an internship with UNICEF Belgrade while researching SDP at the Masters level. At present my interest is to develop a practical and useful SDP program which can be integrated into sport education at the elementary level. I would like to develop a practical program for PE teachers that can use sport as a tool to decrease violence and increase social cohesion in schools in post conflict societies.
