Completing the registration form

Invalid username/password
Both your username and password must have a minimum length of 6 characters.
Invalid email address
Make sure there are no spaces at the end of the email address you provided. You might also want to check you inserted an “@” and also indicated the full domain name of your email address (e.g. @gmail.com).
I didn't validate my Team Player account within the required 24 hours
We keep the information you completed in the registration form for 24 hours before it is automatically deleted from our records. This protects your email address from being entered by someone else to create a false account on your behalf. If you did not activate your Team Player account within 24 hours from receiving an email confirmation from us, you will have to complete the registration form again.
Can't read the security code?
Yes, that's a tough one! The code is there to stop spam-machines automatically filling in the form. You can try clicking on the "reload captcha" to view a new one (it is next to the code box), and see if that helps. If you still have difficulties, write to us and we will help you get signed up. No problem.
What's the security code for?
The letters that appear in the image on the sign up form are a security code (also known as CAPTCHA) that helps us ensure only real people (and not annoying automated spammers) sign up and create Team Player accounts. Because computers are unable to solve the CAPTCHA, a user entering a correct code must be a real human!

Can't login

I have forgotten my username and password
You'll have to provide a username and a valid password while to sign up. Keep this login information safely. If you have lost your password please click here so you can get a new one sent to your email address.
My username and password are correct but I still can't login
Write to us and let us know - we can figure it out together with you.
I did not receive a confirmation email from www.sportanddev.org to activate my account
Check your spam or junk mail folder just in case it ended up in there. If you still can't find it, write to us.

You and your profile

How do I change my personal information?
Once you’re logged in, you can edit your profile at any time by clicking on the ‘Edit your Profile’ button in the top right hand corner of your personal profile. Don't forget to save your changes when you're done!
Do I have to fill in every field when I edit my profile?
No. Only those fields marked with an asterisk.
What information from my profile will be shown to others?
On your Team Player profile page, others will be able to see:
  • your name;
  • your location (region, country, city)
  • your short bio
  • your involvement in Sport & Development
  • your main areas of interest
  • any other interests (that you inserted as keywords)

The following information will never be seen by others:
  • your gender
  • your date of birth
  • your email address

Please bear in mind, you do not have to enter any information other than that required (as shown by the presence of an asterisk next to the box in the registration and edit profile forms).

Contacting others

Can I contact other people who have also signed up (my friends or colleagues, for example) through the Platform?
Yes! You can contact other Team Players by logging in, and clicking on their profile. You can then send them a private message by using the contact form that appears at the bottom of their profile. Your message will be sent to them as an email.

Reporting offensive or spam content

I've seen a comment that has offensive material or spam in it - how do I report it?
Please notify us by writing to info@sportanddev.org, including the full URL (e.g. http://www.sportanddev.org/newsnviews/index.cfm) of the page you are referring to in your message.
I've seen someone's profile that has offensive material or spam in it - what can I do?
Write to us and let us know - we will take a look and carry out the appropriate action. We sincerely appreciate your help in monitoring such activity. Thank you!

My question wasn't answered here. What do I do?
