6th edition of the Africa International Sports Convention CISA
The 6th edition of the Africa International Sports Convention (CISA) will be held in Bamako, capital city of Mali (West Africa) from 1st – 3rd of March 2012. It is to be hosted by the National Sports and Olympic Committee of Mali and supported by Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA). A record number of attendees is hoped for, this year.

Global Sports Forum 2012
The Global Sports Forum 2012 is set to take place in Barcelona, 7th-9th March 2012. Taking place at Palau de Congressos, this edition will be about thinking out of the box and working together to enhance the future of sport. The star studded list of speakers include, amongst others, former international footballer and homelesness awareness campaigner Eric Cantona and sprint runner Oscar Pistorius.

Event details of Global Sports Forum 2012

Sport, gender and media Conference
The Sport, Media and Gender Conference is due to happen on 10th March 2012 at the University of York. The conference will focus on the relationship of media to sport and gender. This interdisciplinary event will welcome contributions from many fields in order to foster understanding of, and promote relationships between a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives. The event will also celebrate the achievements of women in sport as well as marking International Women’s Day.
