Don Grossnickle began working with a 17 year old high school football player who broke his neck during practice in 1999. He and Rob Komosa were bent on making something good come out of the tragic circumstances. Together, the discovered the power of sport that can pull the larger together to pursue caring for and helping others.
Wrote a book: Unbreakable Resilience that tells the story of 8 boys from Metro Chicago that break their necks in sports and how their comeback story individually and collectively have transformed local and national community development.
