How it Worked
The e-Debate addressed issues in Sport & Development, with a specific focus on health. The e-Debate took place in three Rounds. We aimed for the discussion to be structured, with a beginning, middle and an end. Each Round represents a different phase in the discussion.
Round 1 - 'setting the stage'
This Round of questions serves to help set the context for the discussion and provided a chance to explain fundamental concepts and ideas. It gave participants a chance to define the terms they used and to explain their perspecitve, based on their background and/or experience.
Round 2 - 'practical problems and meeting challenges'
In this Round, examples from participants' own experience were provided or those they'd learnt about or observed. This Round was an opportunity to ask questions and raise practical problems being faced and to get some insight into how to solve them.
Round 3 - 'learning from the past'
In this final Round, recommendations to others for future action in the field were put forward. This Round was the opportunity to draw on experience and insight to guide others towards improving their actions in Sport & Development. This was also the chance to ask others with specific experience and/or knowledge on what they would recommend.
