Helen Alderson

Helen Alderson is Chief Executive Officer of the World Heart Federation. Helen joined the World Heart Federation in 2003 and held overall responsibility for raising funds to enable the World Heart Federation to carry out its mission. She has worked closely with World Heart Federation member organizations in low and middle income countries to help develop their operational capacity. In April 2009, Helen was appointed Chief Executive Officer.

Helen was a senior analyst with a socially responsible investment fund and spent 16 years with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), notably in Thailand, the Philippines, Kuwait and Israel, as well as the Headquarters in Geneva.
