Members of the sporting community support our work and help to promote our vision, mission and goals.
In January 2017, sportanddev.org launched an athlete ambassador programme. Professionals in the world of sport are natural partners to our community. They have personally benefitted from sport themselves and they have the influence to help the sport and development community reach sport fans with its message.
sportanddev.org ambassadors are talented current and former professionals from the world of sport who support our mission, vision and goals. They have volunteered their time to support sportanddev.org’s work. They are committed to promoting the use of sport in development and role models to young people participating in sports programmes worldwide.
Being a Swiss-based initiative, we began by contacting professionals in the local area. Five individuals with backgrounds in Swiss football kindly volunteered to support our work. You can find out more about them and the three ambassadors who have subsequently joined below.
