Dr Ben Sanders is the Executive Director of the International Platform on Sport and Development (sportanddev). He leads the operating team and accounts to the sportanddev Steering Board who appointed him as Executive Director to sustain, strengthen and scale the reach and impact of sportanddev.

Talia Kaufman, M.Ed. is Senior Programmes Manager at sportanddev. She oversees project management and communications and contributes to fundraising and partnerships, strategy and governance. She has extensive experience in sport for development, including a leadership role at a large international NGO, as well as expertise in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights education and youth participation. Talia has worked on projects with the Olympic Refuge Foundation to advocate for the support and inclusion of displaced young people in and through sports programmes.
As a former football player, the passion of the game let Haneen start perusing her career back in 2015 with UEFA Foundation supporting Sport for development programs in refugee camps. Since that time, Haneen has continued working in a national and international organizations using sports to promote gender equality, foster positive social change, and provide equal opportunities. Haneen holds two Guinness World Records, and she is currently on a mission of enhancing and expanding the Arabic content in sportanddev.
Involved in the development of sport as an educational tool over the past 10 years, Claire has led projects locally and internationally. These various projects have enabled her to develop a wide range of skills in project management, fund-raising and communications. She is a laureate of the Institut de l'Engagement (The Commitment Institute) in France. Sensitive to gender equality, she is also trained in journalism, to give a voice to sportswomen. Claire is now editor-in-chief of Les Sportives media in France.
A graduate of Loughborough University’s Sport Management MSc, achieving a distinction and the highest research mark in the cohort. As a result of my studies and involvement in Sport, I am a strong believer in the use of Sport for social change. I am continuing my involvement in this area by providing support and expertise to projects, organisations, and NGOs in the Sport for Development field.
