The International Platform on Sport and Development (sportanddev) recently published a call for articles on the future of sport and development. We received a record number of responses from across the globe, spanning continents and cultures. Given the widespread interest and importance of ensuring that sport can better serve society in a post-covid world, we held a webinar on the topic.
Overall, 55 articles were received in English and French. From these, sportanddev identified 10 key themes which have implications for the future of sport and development. Following the webinar, sportanddev published an article every day for 10 days covering each of the 10 themes identified. These are listed below.
Finally, we produced a comprehensive report which summarises community recommendations on reimagining the future of sport and development, including insights from our 2020 call for articles and webinar.
