The first British female boxer to compete in the Olympic Games.
Natasha Jonas is a boxing champion whose record includes a gold medal at the EU Championship in 2011 and 2009, four wins at the ABAE (Amateur Boxing Association of England) Championship (2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007) a win at the GB Championship in 2010, and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Championships.
In addition to her success in the ring, Jonas has committed her career to inspiring young athletes, giving talks and participating in local community programmes to promote the value of sport for children and youth. Clearly surpassing the stereotype of boxing as a male-orientated sport, she encourages women and girls in particular to step out of their comfort zones and try different sports.
She shares her journey to becoming an Olympic athlete on her website and hopes to continue to inspire aspiring athletes as a sportanddev.org ambassador.

One you are given,
One you inherit,
The other you make for yourself.”
