GAM3 Lebanon has had an amazing season with over 1200 members and more than 11.000 show ups for the practices and tournaments in Beirut. They're using a fusion of street basketball, dance, and urban culture to integrate minority youth- and it seems to be working.

GAM3

, founded in 2002, has a vision to make urban sports and urban culture available to everyone in order to empower youth and prevent conflict and marginalization on a local and global level. They are using basketball and dance to effect social change.

In the featured video participants and parents speak of the power of their programme. The youth speak not only of learning new sporting skills, but also of realising that other youth from different backgrounds are not so different from themselves.

A parent interviewed speaks of the power of the programme to bring together youth from different religious and cultural backgrounds, transcending the political turmoil of everyday life.

As one youth participant says:
"Even if the political atmosphere in Lebanon is bad, we grouped together under the GAM3 flag".
