Battle for Peace dance event
How will you be celebrating on the day?
On 6 April we will organise "Battle for Peace" dance event at Helsinki Kamppi Center Shopping Mall. The core of the event will be an exciting hip hop battle, where the participating dancers will compete and put the values of sport in action by trying to reach their excellence, doing it through joy, friendship, tolerance, equality and respect.
What does 6 April mean to you?
Sport as a universal language can be a powerful tool to promote peace, tolerance and understanding by bringing people together across boundaries, cultures and religions. The Olympic movement is the biggest movement for peace in the world. The central values in sports and Olympism are excellence, joy, friendship, tolerance, equality and respect. These values reflect straight to sustainable development and motivate for actions to promote them.
