Call for abstracts: Pacific Research Symposium on Sport and Sustainable Development
Calling on researchers and practitioners from around the world for the inaugural Research Symposium on Sport and Sustainable Development in the Pacific. Learn about the latest developments in research on the contribution of sport to sustainable development across sport, physical activity and physical education – including the findings of a new research project featuring case studies of the economic and social impact of sport in Fiji and Samoa.
This is one of the official events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The University of the South Pacific and aims to ‘celebrate’ the contribution of sport to sustainable development and ‘shape the future’ of the research agenda underpinning sport, sustainable development and public policy globally and specifically in Pacific Island Countries and Territories.
Calling for abstracts from researchers across the Pacific Islands and around the world under the following themes:
- The contribution of sport to the SDGs
- Sport and public policy
- Measuring the impact of sport on society
- Leaving no one behind in sport, physical activity & physical education
The closing date for abstract submissions is Friday 27 April 2018.
