Call for applications: Discover Football Festival
On 5 -13 August 2017 in Mapusa, Goa, Discover Football, Foot and Ball and Tibet Women’s Football have invited football teams, grassroots/amateur teams and football NGOs (nine players + one coach), which are based in India. The spirit of fair play and networking stands above the competition in this event.
The main goals of the event are to share our experiences and bring together women from different backgrounds, to learn from each other and build a strong network. To foster the exchange and stress the idea of overcoming cultural, religious and language barriers, mixed teams put together from the pool of chosen teams will play the tournament.
For this event we are looking for experienced female football coaches from across the world. Ideally you will have coached for a number of years and already worked within the field of women’s rights or sport for social change. Coaches should be female-identified. Selected coaches will work with the mixed teams and their local coaches during the tournament and contribute as an expert on thematic issues throughout the festival. Main costs for the event during the festival will be covered. This event is funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
