CHRISC Kenya to empower young volleyballers

After defending the volleyball title for the second consecutive year at the East Africa Cup, CHRISC Kenya has embarked on tapping and nurturing young talents around the country at the grassroots.

On volleyball category CHRISC Kenya who are the defending champions emerged the winners by dominating the volleyball finals, U16 Volleyball girls finals were played by CHRISC VoI and CHRISC Nairobi where CHRISC Voi beat CHRISC Nairobi by three sets to one.

On the boys category CHRISC Nairobi beat CHRISC Uganda in the finals by 3 sets to nothing. On individual categories CHRISC Nairobi scooped all awards, in girls category Maureen Wahura won best attacker while Caroline Wageci was the best setter, on boys category Patrick Nganga won best setter while Marvin Otieno won best attacker, Mary Kabati emerged the best female amphire.

CHRISC Eldoret lost in the sitting volleyball semi-finals to BNPC Burundi. On football CHRISC Kenya teams lost in the semi-finals to MYSA and CHRISC Uganda, however, the top scorer in U13 football category was peter Kinyanjui from CHRISC Nairobi with 8 goals
