Cricket to drive social change in Nepal
Sunday 1 May 2016 will the see the first in a number of sporting and community events in the UK that are raising money for development in Nepal. The inaugural Connecting Clubs Sixes day, taking place at the University of Sussex, will bring together around 40 cricketers all with the aim of contributing to Connecting Clubs' work overseas.
Connecting Clubs International believe fundamentally that sport can play an integeral role in the lives of individuals all over the world. It can help communities develop and recover and can be source of enjoyment in hard times. Furthermore, sport is a medium for driving social change. Connecting Clubs uses the power of sport to promote important social causes from health and nutrition eduction to gender equality in society.
