In May:

• The IOC Forum on Sport for Peace and Development is fast-approaching! This event is taking place on 7-8 May 2009 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The event will be broadcast live on www.olympic.org/forum. The Forum begins on 7 May 2009 at 9 a.m. CET
• The Danish Network for Sport & Development has organised a one-day conference on the topic of Sport and Development initiatives: "What difference can they make?". This conference is taking place on 12 May 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
• The UN Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP) and the UN Federal Credit Union (UNFCU) have organised a photo exhibition of the 4th annual climb organised by the NGO ‘Kilimanjaro Initiative’ under the banner “Unite to Combat Climate Change.” The exhibition is on from 7-25 May 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland.

In June:

• the sixth Play the Game conference will take place from 8-12 June 2009 in Coventry, UK with the theme 'visions for sport in times of crisis'
• the Forum on Productive Youth Development through Sport is being held from 16-18 June 2009 in Nairobi, Kenya
• Power of Sport Summit will take place on 18-19 June 2009 in Boston, USA
• the Football for Hope Forum will be held in Vaal, South Africa from 23-25 June 2009
