In the morning of March 3rd, 2011, the “Football Equipments Hand-over Festival” was held by “Football For All in Vietnam” (FFAV) Project for all primary school football clubs of 9 districts of Thua Thien Hue province, Do Son district of Hai Phong province at the Art Centre - 11 Dong Da, Hue City.

In the “Football Equipments Hand-over Festival”, 82 Primary Schools football clubs received football equipment including balls, players’ uniforms, coach uniforms, bibs, cones, goals, goal nets, pumps, and ball nets. The equipment is equivalent to the number of players in each club and will be used for club activities and tournaments.

Mr. Anders Krystad, International Secretary cum FFAV Director said that this festival was one of the highlighted activities of FFAV in 2011 and a meaningful one for Education sector in Thua Thien Hue province in general and for the football clubs in particular. This will give children more chance to join non- competitive and fun football activities with the value “Learning by playing and playing by learning” which FFAV is aiming.

In this festival, Mr. Hoang Duc Binh – Vice Director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Education and Training express special thanks to FFAV for positive effects which FFAV has brought to children in the province because it has created a healthy, safe, and fun environment for children. He suggested that the clubs receiving equipment will use them effectively and increase the number of players and clubs in the local community, so that the goal 100% primary schools having football clubs is fulfilled. Furthermore, he hoped that schools consider FFAV project as an effective tool in education to build “Friendly schools and positive students”, and this for sure will contribute to ensure the sustainability of the project and let the football movements in schools develop more and more.
