UEFA has recently announced a new campaign continuing its ‘football for all’ message.

The campaign, called #EqualGame, is part of UEFA’s RESPECT initiative. In previous years, UEFA and Fare Network have teamed up to deliver a powerful message with ‘No To Racism’. The campaign succeeded in raising awareness and enforcing a strict no-tolerance policy in UEFA's disciplinary regulations.

This year’s theme will build on this message, with a focus on positive change and inclusion. Above all, the campaign will highlight the importance of diversity in football and the benefits to the community when sport is open to all.

UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin explained the overall goal:

The new #EqualGame initiative aims to help to bring the football community closer together and ensure that values such as inclusion, gender equality and the fight against discrimination continue to be at the forefront of UEFA’s vision and beliefs."

The campaign launched with a discussion introducing the message of #EqualGame. Professional footballers Ada Hegerberg, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba have already shown their support, and fans are encouraged to do the same. Players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds can share their stories with the hashtag #EqualGame and explain what football means to them.
