Last week FC Barcelona ran onto the field for their game against Manchester City sporting new jerseys as part of a campaign to raise money and awareness for refugees worldwide.

MÉS is a partnership formed between FC Barcelona, Nike and UNHCR with the objective of raising money for initiatives to assist young refugees through education and sport.

Money is raised through selling the specifically designed sweatshirts , t-shirts and caps.

The aim of FC Barcelona wearing the jerseys was to draw attention to the issue of the 42 million forcibly displaced people worldwide.

A limited edition of 1,899 of the new jerseys are being made and available for purchase.

The number of jerseys corresponds to the year FC Barcelona was formed.

The jerseys the players wore during the match will also be auctioned in September to raise more money for UNHCR projects
