Football Used To Promote Hope and Peace

In October, FIFA ran a coaching course in Somalia as part of their 'Win in Africa with Africa' initiative. This represented the first training run in Somalia for over 10 years

FIFA is running the "Win Africa with Africa" initiative across the continent with the aim to hold three different courses in every African national association member country before the start of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.

The coaching course was held in conjunction with the Somalia Football Association (SFF) and involved 29 Somali coaches from Mogadishu.

Speaking of the training SFF General Secretary Abdi Qani Said Arab said- "The SFF and FIFA have been working together for a long time on the organisation of this coaching course- Since we’re here and this course is really happening, this day is truly historic for football in our country."
