ITTF Foundation joins sportanddev Steering Board

The International Platform on Sport and Development (sportanddev) have formed a partnership with the ITTF Foundation, one of the leading global actors in using sport for development and peace.

The partnership includes the ITTF Foundation joining as a platinum partner of the sportanddev campaign on Reshaping sport and development. The campaign seeks to strengthen the sport and development sector, including increasing access, equity and inclusion, and ultimately impact.

As part of the partnership, the ITTF Foundation has joined the sportanddev Steering Board, comprised of leading organisations in sport and development. The Steering Board oversees the governance and strategy of sportanddev and advocates globally for the platform and the sector.

Leandro Olvech, ITTF Foundation Director, commented on the partnership:

“It is an honour for the ITTF Foundation to join the list of Steering Board members, and we look forward to working closely alongside some of the most influential organisations in sports for development, as well as the exchange of ideas and inspirations.”

Dr Ben Sanders, senior consultant at sportanddev welcomed the partnership:

“The ITTF Foundation has pioneered much work in sport and development and share our objectives to strengthen and sustain this sector for years to come. We are delighted to form this partnership and welcome them onto the sportanddev Steering Board. We will work closely with them in our efforts to reshape sport and development to better serve all actors.”
