Kick4Life named Football for Hope Centre host

Kick4Life has been awarded the honor of serving as a host for one of the 20 Football for Hope Centers scheduled to be built by FIFA across Africa.

The center will be built in Maseru, Lesotho and will aim to help young people overcome social challenges through HIV/AIDS awareness, education, improving life skills, and personal development.

Kick4Life founder Pete Fleming described the honor:
“Being selected as a Centre Host as part of the official World Cup campaign is a fantastic development for Kick4Life that will provide a first-class sports, health and education facility right in the heart of Maseru, Lesotho’s capital. It will enable us to deliver activities to thousands of orphans and vulnerable children in an inspirational setting, and become, we hope, a centre of excellence for the use of football as a tool for social development.”

Kick4Life will be charged with running the educational aspects of the center and ensuring that the community remains involved. The Center should be completed by March 2011.
