Kicking AIDS Out updates: Leader Level 1 Courses in January and February
Sports Coaches Outreach (SCORE) South Africa, will be organizing their Annual Programme Leaders meeting on the 27th and 28th Jan, 2009 that will be linked to their Kicking AIDS Out Leader Level 1 training for their program leaders and volunteers from Namibia, Zambia and South Africa.
30 Participants will attend this course with 8 of them being volunteers who have potential to become facilitators within their own communities. This is the first time that SCORE will be organizing a workshop for all its international program leaders. The course will be an opportunity for all the SCORE leaders and staff to learn about the Kicking AIDS Out concept/ approach and ways that they will be able to continuously integrate it in their existing programs.
Livingstone, Zambia Leader Level 1 Course
A Kicking AIDS Out Leader Level 1 course will be held in Livingstone Zambia from 9th-13th February, 2009. There has been expressed an interest from members in Zambia to conduct Kicking AIDS Out Courses together. The member organizations that will send participants are Sport in Action, Edusport Foundation and SCORE Zambia. The three member organizations will also provide facilitators. National Organization of Women in Sport Physical Activity and Recreation (NOWSPAR) and National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) will have observers attending the course. This course will boost the cooperation and utilize the expertise that exists within the Network organisations in Zambia. The course is coordinated by SCORE international. This joint course is a milestone achievement for Zambia. The Network is happy to see the strengthened collaboration and partnership among the network members and associates in Zambia.
Elimu Michezo na Mazoezi (EMIMA)
Elimu Michezo na Mazoezi (EMIMA) will conduct a Leader Level 1 course on 25th – 28th February in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. 20 participants are expected to attend this course that will happen in this historical town that was founded at the end of the 18th century. It was the original capital of German and East Africa and was one of the most important trading ports along the East African coast. The course will be co - facilitated by Cyprian Maro and Allison Furniss.
Activity
