Learning Taekwondo in Rwanda

Kids Play International's All Girls United initiative is celebrating #IDSDP2018 by learning Taekwondo from members of the Rwandan Taekwondo Federation. This self defense form of martial arts will help to enhance self-esteem and build confidence; encouraging our girls to succeed in school and to take control of their lives.

Message

Celebrating April 6th means Excellence, Friendship and Respect. The values of the Olympics. Excellence: Always doing your best, even when no one is looking. Friendship: Being tolerant and accepting of others and their thoughts and beliefs. Respect: conducting yourself with ethical behavior on and off the field. Sport can transcend all cultural, social, gender barriers and bring people from around the world together in peace.
