Hosting LL2 and LL1 Kicking Aids Out workshops in East Africa region is a milestone in sports and development in East Africa region.

East Africa region was privileged to host the first Kicking Aids Out (leader level 2) LL2 course within East Africa region, concurrently with Leader level 1 (LL1) under the watchful eyes of Mt Kilimanjaro in Moshi Tanzania.

Participants were drawn from CHRISC Rwanda, MYSA Kenya, CHRISC Uganda and CHRISC Kenya.

The LL2 course was conducted by Community Development Resource Association (CDRA) and LL1 by facilitators from Kicking Aids Out partner organizations MYSA Kenya and CHRISC East Africa, a total of 31 leaders were trained.

In addition the region is proud to have the first two master trainers namely Edwin Wesonga from MYSA Kenya and Paul Otieno from CHRISC East Africa.

As the curtains were rolled the Kicking Aids Out resource team together with the trained leaders exited to take part in the seventh edition of East Africa cup where a total number of 64 teams from five countries namely Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia started their competition in the U13 and U16 age categories after attending educative seminars and workshops.

The resource teams together with the trained leaders are now facilitating Kicking Aids Out activities during East Africa cup, the largest youth tournament in Africa.
