More than just a game

The Sport-Based Youth Development Specialisation at Adelphi University invites you to be a fan of sport as a tool for change and join us in the second annual International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. This year, we will be holding a campaign on Monday 6 April 2015 in the Woodruff Hall entrance from 3:30-5:00pm. There we will be educating the campus community in our efforts to promote sport as more than just a game, a tool for change. We encourage you to volunteer, or stop by and learn how to use sport for development in our community and beyond.

IDSDP is the perfect contingency to use sport as a platform for change - more specifically, the use of sport to promote respect for all on our campus, in our community, and beyond. Our department is eager to further the mission of sport through this event, as well as raise awareness that sport has the potential to be more than “just a game”; it can be an agent of change.
