One week to go until the 2019 Peace and Sport International Forum

For the fourth year running, sportanddev will be providing first-hand media coverage of the event taking place from 11-13 December in Monaco

The annual Peace and Sport International Forum is fast-approaching and the 600 plus key decision-makers attending are getting ready to explore this year’s theme of “Investing in Peace, Acting through Sport.” Attendees will include heads of state, strategic leaders from the business and sports world, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, representatives from civil society and international organisations, and bright young talents

The 12th edition of the forum will be taking place at One Monte-Carlo, in the Principality of Monaco. It will culminate in the Peace and Sport Awards ceremony to recognise outstanding contributions to peace, dialogue and social change through sport around the world.

The forum also features a youth programme featuring several facilitators including the Swiss Academy for Development’s Malika Kons. Speakers at the forum include football legend and Peace and Sport vice-president, Didier Drogba, skipper of the zero-emission racing yacht, Borris Hermann and many more!

This year’s international forum will also be a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Champions for Peace Club (Peace and Sport’s group of ambassadors). It will be an opportunity for networking and to engage in master-classes and themed debates.

sportanddev has a media partnership with Peace and Sport for the event. We will be covering it by bringing you a range of articles on the highlights of the forum. Thank you to Peace and Sport for inviting us to cover the event.
