June 2009 was a busy month for the field of Sport & Development - various events took place, which we highlight in this article
The Forum on Productive Youth Development through Sport in Africa took place from 16-18 June 2009 in Nairobi, Kenya. The Forum addressed various issues in Sport & Development practice, sharing good practices and forming partnerships.
The Power of Sport Summit took place from 18-19 June 2009 in Boston, USA and brought together practitioners, academics and advocates working for social justice in sport.
The Football for Hope Forum in Vaal, South Africa took place from 23-25 June 2009. The Forum was opened by FIFA President Sepp Blatter and was attended by the UN Special Adviser on Sport for Development and Peace - Mr. Willi Lemke.
