The previous two weeks were filled with events including a scientific conference in Skopje and a youth camp in Florida, US.

Cubamotricidad 2016

The Pan American Congress of Sport for All took place in Varadero, Cuba, on 25 – 28 May and covered a number of topics including mega-events, adapted sport, sport and development issues and strategies for promoting health.




PEPAYS Ireland Annual Forum

The 2016 forum was held in Tralee, Ireland, on 30 May. It focused on policy and practice as framed by three articles from the UNESCO International Charter of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport.




Innovations in Sport for Development and Peace Symposium

The colloquium on 31 May built upon the discussions from the 2015 Girlhood, International Development and Sport workshop by providing participants with a platform to present new research and ideas on the direction of the sport and development sector.




Course: Autism, sport and physical activit

This one-day course held on 1 June in Glasgow, UK, provided a comprehensive introduction to autism, focusing on the delivery of sport, how to recognise and understand key areas of difference in autism and supportive strategies in real life situations.




Seventh International Conference on Sport and Society

The conference held in Honolulu on 2-3 June featured plenary sessions by some of the world’s leading thinkers and innovators in the field of sport.




Second International Scientific Conference: Research in physical education, sport and health

Organised by the university Ss Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, the conference held on 3-5 June presented the latest theoretical contributions and scientific research on physical activity and youth.




UNOSDP Youth Leadership Camp in Bradenton, Florida

The 19th annual programme commenced on 6 June and will run until 18 June. The programme aims to support youth involved in sport and development by giving them access to theoretical and practical training.
