sportanddev and UNHCR held a live Twitter Q&A event with the Olympic Refuge Foundation as part of our Week of Action on Sport and Refugees.

The International Platform on Sport and Development (sportanddev) held its first live Twitter Q&A on 24 September, 2020 as part of a Week of Action on Sport and Refugees organised with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. This forms part of the sportanddev partnership with UNHCR on sport and displacement.

Jojo Ferris, Head of the Olympic Refuge Foundation, was the special guest for the live question and answer session, which lasted around 60 minutes.

The title of the discussion was ‘How can sport be used to address challenges faced by refugees?’ and, during the hour, Jojo was asked five key questions on the subject while a range of people and organisations joined the conversation using the hashtag #SportAndRefugees.
