Sport and Cooperation Network recognised by the fitness industry
The Sport and Cooperation Network has been promoting physical activity and sports in Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean for over thirteen years.
Sport and physical activity contributes to a healthy lifestyle and reduces the onset of several chronic diseases. Sport also provides a useful tool to build confidence, support the reconciliation process, tackle trauma, promote gender equality and education and raise awareness about health issues.
On receiving the award, Carlos de Cárcer, director of the Sport Network said, “It’s a joy to have the recognition of our 14 years of work, from the prestigious Fitness and Bodybuilding Fair. This event and recognition will certainly boost our education, health and integration through sport initiatives in Africa and Latin America.”
During the presentation evening, seven other organisations and individuals received awards in recognition of promoting physical activity and healthy habits.
