The International Platform on Sport and Development joins forces with the Commonwealth Secretariat to showcase global initiatives.

The International Platform on Sport and Development (www.sportanddev.org) has linked up to the new Commonwealth Connects portal to showcase Sport & Development projects from across the Commonwealth.

The collaboration will allow sportanddev.org and the Commonwealth to share information and advance knowledge on the use of sport as a tool for development and peace.

“Bringing the Commonwealth Secretariat and sportanddev.org closer together is a natural step in the right direction and is timely as the Commonwealth becomes more engaged in the sport and development sector,” says Usha Selvaraju, Project Manager of www.sportanddev.org.

“Sport for development and peace is an integral part of the Commonwealth’s work in youth, health, education, gender and human rights. We welcome this collaboration, which will broaden the reach of the Commonwealth Secretariat and advance the SDP agenda through the Commonwealth Connects portal,” says Oliver Dudfield, Sports Development Adviser at the Commonwealth Secretariat.
