Wednesday 25th November is White Ribbon Day, a campaign to promote awareness of the violence perpetrated against women. The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) has pledged their support for the day.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, one in three Australian women will experience physical or sexual violence during their lifetime.

White Ribbon Day is an opportunity for all Australians, but particularly men, to stand up and take an oath to oppose all violence against women.

The ASC has placed their support behind the campaign and is urging all Australians to take the pledge to oppose violence towards women.Sydney Swans AFL player, Adam Goodes, is an ambassador for White Ribbon Day and is actively encouraging all Australians to stand up and make a difference.
