Survey: Input into the design of a sport and development guidebook

A joint project from the Japan Sport Council and sportanddev needs feedback from the sport and development community to shape a guidebook!

The Japan Sport Council and the international platform on sport and development (sportanddev), with partners, are developing a comprehensive and practical guidebook/toolkit on how to apply sport as a development tool. This initiative seeks to build capacity for those tasked with implementing policy and managing projects at a strategic level, locally or organisationally, which seek to use sport to contribute to development outcomes.

For more information on this project and the guidebook, please click here.

This survey is designed to identify challenges and opportunities encountered by individuals and/or organisations when managing policies, projects or programmes that use sport to contribute to development. The input received will influence the content and focus of the guidebook.

The guidebook will be released around the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 and has been certified as a Tokyo 2020 Support Programme. The guidebook will be open access and available in English and Japanese, and ideally all official languages of the United Nations (dependent on resources).

Who should complete the survey?

We are seeking feedback from individuals within the sport sector (including, but not limited to, those using sport for development and peace) and those beyond the sport sector (e.g. actors in international development and cooperation) that may benefit from using sport to achieve their objectives.

We would appreciate it if you could complete the survey by 13 October. Thanks very much for your time!
