HavServe of Haiti has successfully brought the Swedish football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson on board as an international goodwill ambassador.

Current Leicester City football league championship coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has been appointed international goodwill ambassador for HavServe Volunteer Network (HavServe).

Eriksson will support HavServe’s Youth Soccer Programme in Haiti. This programme is building up a centre for the training of talented youth in the hopes that they may someday be Haiti’s future football stars. Several of Haiti’s national football players died during the earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January 2010.

HavServe is a non-profit organisation whose programmes are carried out by international volunteers. HavServe uses football to aid children positively deal with the aftermath of the natural disaster and the difficulties of rebuilding a nation.
