  • 2 major axes for education, empowerment and socio-economic integration of young people through sport
  • TIBU Morocco aims to contribute to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the power of sport
  • 2030 Vision: Become the locomotive of sport for development in Africa
  • 6 new innovative programs with a high social impact for the 2020-2021 season.

As the main organization in the education and insertion of young people through sport in Morocco, with a wide national coverage in more than 14 cities and 8 regions of the kingdom, and in line with its ambition to become the locomotive of sport for development in Africa by 2030, TIBU Morocco is committed to contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and sees them as an opportunity to position sport as a powerful tool for designing innovative solutions to the complex challenges of the 21st century.

"With its commitment to young people, girls, women and young people with disabilities and young people in NEET (not in education, employment, or training) situations, our organization makes social innovation through sport its essential tool for developing solutions and contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In the face of the health crisis worldwide, we strongly believe in the strength of sport, which calls upon the values of cooperation, solidarity and commitment to the most fragile populations, " says Mohamed Amine Zariat, Ashoka Fellow & Founding President of the organization TIBU Maroc.

"Becoming the locomotive of sport for development in Africa by 2030" is the vision of TIBU Maroc.

It will be developed based on its two strategic axes:

1. BE ACTIVE: The impulse of human capital through sport - aims to develop the motor, cognitive and socio-affective skills of children and young people aged between 4 and 18 years through education and empowerment through sport programs and structures.

2. WORK FIRST: Socio-economic inclusion of young people through sport - aims to accompany young people aged between 18 and 35 years old to a real professional integration in the sports industries through training that meets the real needs of the job market.

All the programs set up by TIBU Maroc aim to promote the social and professional integration of young people. By offering educational and personalized support to young people, alongside their families and the local actors, TIBU Maroc works to transform schools and neighborhoods. It also contributes to fight against inequalities of destiny and to restore equality of opportunities, particularly with regard to access to regular physical activity, employment and training.

For the 2020-2021 season, TIBU Morocco will launch new innovative programs with high social impact:

  • 2nd chance school oriented towards sports professions: Within the framework of our partnership with the Ministry of National Education, the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) Casablanca-Settat has put at the disposal of TIBU Morocco a public school located in the city center for the launch of a second chance school oriented towards sports professions. For TIBU Morocco as well as its community, this is an opportunity to make this school an innovative sports factory anchored in the socio-economic context of Morocco. This multidimensional project will house more than 5 programs with a strong social impact designed and developed especially for vulnerable populations. It makes sport a catalyst and creator of values of social cohesion and economic independence for young people in NEET, women and young people with disabilities.
  • Yd-Maj for Equal Play: This program promotes the social inclusion of young people with disabilities through sport. This project aims to support young people both physically and psychologically, and prepares them for socio-professional integration. The Yd-Maj program aims to break the isolation of these young people by promoting inclusive education and changing the perception of disability.
  • Morocco Preschool Olympics: A program inspired by the Olympic Games, and conceived by TIBU Morocco, it is addressed to all the stakeholders of the preschool institutions: children, teachers, families and members of the preschool institutions. It conveys the values of sport, peace, friendship, respect and excellence. Morocco Preschool Olympics inspires and encourages the preschool to include adapted physical activity on a regular basis in its curriculum.

These new initiatives are in addition to the various programs launched by TIBU Maroc since its foundation and will broaden its field of intervention as well as its impact on the target populations.

Through all these initiatives, TIBU Maroc intends to use the strength that sport can represent to unleash the potential of African youth and meet the challenges of the 21st century.
