Apply now to participate in the Sport & Safe Communities training.

Community sports coaches, youth workers and their organisations from the Netherlands and the UK are welcome to participate in the Sport & Safe Communities training taking place in Belfast and Ballycastle, Northern Ireland, from 6 to 10 May 2017.

An essential element in the work of a community sports coach is to create an environment wherein people and communities feel safe, have fun and grow. The case of Northern Ireland proves that such an environment is not evident, and therefore it is the perfect location for a five-day training for community sports coaches and youth workers.

The training will kick-off in vibrant Belfast which provides an excellent spot for both field visits and case studies on safe communities and the positive as well as negative role sport can play in creating them. The rest of the training will take place in a peace and reconciliation centre in the beautiful Ballycastle.

For more information please find the brochure Training Sport & Safe Communities here.
