Beth Nicholls, programme manager of International Inspiration (UNICEF’s project that works to engage young people in sport in the lead up to 2012) spoke to the 70 attendees about partnership and support, whether that be how to attain partners to their organisations or improve the partnerships they already have.
As a part of UNICEF, she stressed the importance of understanding the structures of corporations, governmental organisations, or IGOs in order to make a partnership with them. Concentrating on this will enable relationships to be made, because you get their attention.
Other figures from UNICEF and the UN spoke about various websites where exchanges are happening regarding partnerships – as UNICEF partners with projects in all the countries they work.
‘We need you as much as you need us,’ they explained.
