Participate in our video challenge and help us raise awareness about the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP)!

With 6 April around the corner, sportanddev is calling on individuals and sport for development organisations around the world to help us translate the following message:

“Sport is a universal language.”

Our goal is to highlight the unifying power of sport, representing as many languages as possible, in multiple countries around the world.

Participation is simple:

  1. First, record a video of yourself saying ”Sport is a universal language” in your native language(s). While you are doing so, hold a piece of paper or another object with the language you are speaking written on it
  2. Then upload the video to this form in English or French, and include your city/country
  3. On the form, we also encourage you to elaborate in writing (in English) on the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and 6 April. This message will be shared on social media along with your video

Be creative!

You can record the video with a group or individually. Be as creative as you want – feel free to film from an interesting location and bonus points if you manage to incorporate your favourite sport! We will pick our top three for special recognition at the end of the campaign, and the top ten will be featured in a compilation video.

All submissions will feature on sportanddev’s YouTube page, on Facebook and Twitter, and in the Media section of our website.
