The World Health Organization is delighted to announce the launch of a new global physical activity campaign to help get more children moving more often.

We know that promoting physical activity in all its forms is very important. WHO would like to share our new global PA campaign to help get more children moving more often.

Over the past year WHO has been working with a leading sport tech start-up to develop #GenMove Season 1 - a unique digital app providing a collection of physical activity games designed to engage children and youth between the ages of 8-15 years in fun and different ways to become active, developed in collaboration with a leading sport tech start-up.

The games are underpinned by principles of promoting fun and enjoyment, inclusivity, physical literacy, gamification, with progressive challenges using cutting-edge AI and AR technology. It is able to run on the vast majority of iOS and Android phones.

#GenMove Season 1 is being brought to the global community in 6 UN languages and is free for all to use during the World Cup from 19 November through to 18 December 2022.

WHO launched the #GenMove Season 1 on Saturday, 19 November during the first Doha Walk the Talk event, on the eve of the opening of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
