As in previous years, ENGSO Youth will cover and actively support 6 April this year.

ENGSO Youth recently participated in the European Youth Sport Forum held in Malta, the largest avenue for exchange and gathering of youth sports. During this forum, the organisation promoted the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) among young participants and supported the Peace and Sport White Card campaign. To amplify its voice as part of a wider conversation, they have also joined the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP) campaign #WePlayTogether.

On 6 April ENGSO Youth will have a premiere of the powerful short movie "Sport Makes Me Feel Like Home Wherever I am" made on behalf of the youth sport sector with global Europe-wide youth leaders and activists from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Among the stakeholders are young decision makers, volunteers, athletes, NEETs, migrants, Olympians and medallists. A countdown teaser was recently published in preparation for IDSDP.

Finally ENGSO Youth will continue to encourage its members, including national Olympic committees, sports federations and confederations and international organisations, as well as the youth sport sector to get active on the ground and at local level regarding symbolic marking of 6 April. The group will also have some remarkable leaders and role models of the movement writing IDSDP "Calls on Action" on our blackboard for out-of-the box thoughts.
