Call for Presentations: 28th ACHPER International Conference

The 28th ACHPER International Conference Programme Committee invites interested speakers to submit abstracts for lectures, workshops or practical session.

The committee encourages you to develop an engaging and interactive presentation that aligns wit h the conference theme ‘A Defining Time’. Presentations will be structured as 20 minute papers or 90 minute presentations.

Paper presentations will be 20 minutes in duration. Abstracts of maximum 300 words must be submitted for review by Friday 14 June 2013.

Authors of accepted abstracts may submit their full paper for the refereed conference proceedings. The full paper must be received by Friday 9 August 2013. It must use APA referencing and be a maximum of five A4 pages (single spacing) including diagrams, or 3,000 words.

Please note that revisions of your paper may be required within a certain timeframe.

Academic posters

Poster submissions in AO format (height 120cm x width 90cm) may be submitted. The abstract will include author title(s) and affiliation(s) to allow the Committee to designate the poster to a specific target audience.

Presentations will be 90 minutes in duration. A short abstract (60 words maximum) will need to be submitted. We encourage you to develop an engaging title with a clear indication of what delegates will achieve from attending your session and conducted as a lecture, workshop or practical activity.

About the conference
The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation organizes the 28th ACHPER International Conference in Melbourne on 27-29 November 2013. The conference theme is titled 'A Defining Time' and it is aimed at examining the significance and perspectives of health and physical education. It will try to provide visions and directions of how health and physical education may develop in the twenty-first century.
