After a month long service-learning, latrine construction excursion to a rural village in Ghana during my freshman year at Eckerd College, I came to know how awesome service work was. Developing relationships through working with locals was immediately addicting-In the following years I journeyed to India, Honduras, Mexico, and led my own trip to Peru to collaborate in service with host country natives. Each time was more reassuring that I wanted to dedicate my life to the field of rural development. 5 months ago, I completed my Peace Corps service in Honduras as a Water & Saniation Specialist. I also coached boys & girls soccer teams during my time in Honduras. Currently, I am serving as a Peace Corps Response volunteer, working for Futbol Con Corazon, an NGO that uses soccer as a vehicle to promote health and nutritional education.
Recent graduate of the University of Leeds. Currently working for Football Action through the Vodafone World of Difference programme.
