My name is Tolulope Adetayo, a graduate of Industrial Chemistry from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria. I am 28yrs old with experiences in volunteering, mentoring, youth leadership and program co-ordination. I have worked with Search and Groom, since its inception as a volunteer in several capacities which has exposed me to different opportunities and challenges in handling young people and youths. I was part of the planning committee for the Football For Hope festival team in 2010 and was also in charge of the drama team for ‘project Excel’ sponsored by UNICEF in 2008, these amongst other things have given me an edge in the leadership role. Now as a programme officer, I am running an advocacy program on Gender Equality reaching out to young adults, vulnerable children between the ages of 16-32yrs in less privileged communities in and around Lagos.
After graduating from Sciences Po (France) and the School of Oriental And African Studies (UK) in 2011, I had the opportunity to work several times as a intern for different UN agencies, in Europe, South East Asia and West Africa. There, I had participated to several cooperation projects in different fields, from security to economic integration.
