To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation has released new research on how female coaches and leadership impact the engagement of girls in Sport for Development programmes. Their new report “"Empowering Young Girls and Women through Sport for Development" shares promising practices through six case studies from organisations around the globe.
Their report expounds on key findings and recommendations for organisations prioritising the empowerment of girls and young women, including: creating opportunities for girls to become leaders, enabling mentorship between girls and women, and employing female leadership and role models in different ways.
