A final evaluation report presenting the overall findings of the past three years of this pilot project, using a comprehensive and formative monitoring and evaluation system.
The pilot project “Sport and Play for Interethnic Dialogue among Children and Youth in Sri Lanka” aimed to enhance the life skills necessary for peaceful coexistence and to rebuild relationships across ethnic borders; primarily on the level of children and youth and then on the level of their parents in a context where few platforms exist for exchanges that transcend ethnic, religious and gender boundaries.
Likewise, SAD aimed to assess the effectiveness of sport as an innovative approach in peace building and at ultimately passing on the knowledge to other relevant actors for replication and scaling up in other regions and districts of Sri Lanka in the future.
