Peru, Lima|27.04.2013

The Conference will be hosted by the Miraflores Municipal Government, Peruvian Institute of Sport and organised by the Peruvian Olympic Committee, in collaboration with SportAccord.

In addition to presentations by experts in Sport for All, the Conference format will encourage the exchange of best practices and networking and the sharing of practical examples of Sport for All programmes. The event will include plenary sessions, breakout sessions and practical sessions with a special focus on three main topics that are social benefits, sport facilities and public spaces, and partnerships.

There is no longer any doubt that sport benefits society. The Conference will provide an opportunity for participants to learn from successful experiences in the promotion of physical activity.

Lima, the capital of Peru, will receive the participants on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Lima blends the heritage of ancient cultures and the modern drive of a cosmopolitan city. Considered the gastronomic capital of America, it is the door to world marvels like Machu Picchu and the Nazca Lines.

The Organizing Committee of the 15th World Conference on Sport for All wish to leave as a legacy, the roadmap for a sustainable promotion of physical activity and the development of a plan for sports for all in our country, which could then be applied to other emerging countries.” - Mr. Ivan Dibós, IOC Member.

Join us in Lima in April 2013 to debate the current and future trends in Sport for All!
